design statement
My graphic design work begins with rough sketches on paper and lists of words. I detail and define the feeling and structure of the project before designing digitally. Having an experimental design process pushes me to honor traditional art-making mediums, while embracing new and engaging design concepts.
My goal is to communicate effectively, always. The design and content have to speak for themselves and present the idea clearly for the project and client.
My role is to solve a problem.

artist statement
My printmaking work revolves around ideas of perception, illusion, and reality. I am intrigued by how we as humans see and understand visual experiences in lives.
I focus on the intentional use of pattern, as well as positive and negative space in my practice to further the effectiveness of visual vibration and movement. Printmaking as a process allows for slow, repetitive movement and constant mindfulness. The process lends itself to the work I make with repeated line and shape.
My role is to pose a question.
Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.
