The Shining Book Jacket

This book jacket rework based on The Shining by Stephen King was designed intentionally, utilizing formal elements from both the book and film versions. That is seen by including wasps, typewriter imagery, and the font choice. The repeated use of yellow, as well as the imagery of the maze combined with the iconic carpet pattern reference Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation. These choices attend to viewer’s expectations of The Shining, while delivering the content in a new way.
